Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) felicitates Beijing Olympic gold medalist
Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) on September 14 felicitated Beijing Olympics Gold Medalist Anna Goodale of USA amidst a function organized in Kathmandu.
Anna is currently in Nepal on a fortnight-long holiday with her parents, two younger sisters and a brother.
NTB chief executive officer Prachanda Man Shrestha felicitated Anna on behalf of Nepalese tourism fraternity by handing over a letter of appreciation.
Speaking on the occasion, CEO Shrestha requested Anna to spread help promote Nepal’s tourism industry by spreading good message about the country in the USA. He also thanked Anna or choosing Nepal as a destination for her holiday.
Anna, 25, had won the Gold Medal in rowing in Beijing Olympics 2008.
Anna went on trekking and enjoyed rafting in Trishuli River. Apart from the Kathmandu Valley, she also visited Chitwan and Pokhara.
“I enjoyed Nepal’s natural beauties, mountains, lakes and Nepalese culture and people. I had heard a lot about this beautiful country and I was searching for a right time to come here. I am happy that I finally got here,” Anna shared her experience.
