Bardia Tiger Tracking Tour

Day 01: Kathmandu - Nepalgunj Airport - Bardia (1 hour flight and 2-hour drive)
Fly to Nepalgunj Airport, upon arrival at the airport you can be met by our representative and drive to your hotel. Check in to the hotel and enjoy refreshments. A briefing will follow about the resort, its facilities, and the activities available in Bardia. After lunch, take a village tour to a nearby Tharu village to learn about the life and lifestyle of the Tharu people. Visit the Elephant Breeding Center and enjoy a sunset view from the Karnali River bank. Dinner will be followed by a wildlife talk before bedtime. Overnight stay at the hotel/resort.

Day 02: Full day in Bardia
After breakfast, spend an exhilarating day tracking the Royal Bengal Tiger in the heart of Bardia National Park. This full-day adventure includes a packed lunch, ensuring you can immerse yourself fully in the experience without interruption.

Highlights of the Day:

• Observation at Riverbank Hides: Spend time at strategic spots along the riverbank where tigers often come to drink or swim.
• Expert Guidance: Our naturalist will remain vigilant for signs of tiger activity, including:
  • Alarm calls from monkeys or birds, which often signal the presence of the "Lord of the Forest" before it becomes visible.
  • Tracks, scents, or other clues that point to the tiger’s movements.

This is a unique and thrilling opportunity to witness a Royal Bengal Tiger in its natural habitat, making it a day you’ll never forget.

Day 03: Full day in Bardia
After breakfast, next full day of your adventure, continue your tiger-tracking journey in Bardia National Park. Our focus will be on identifying signs of tigers by:

• Following fresh paw prints along the trails.
• Tracking scents and scat to determine the tiger's movements.
• Observing scratch marks on trees, which are characteristic of tiger territory.

With the expertise of our naturalists, this day offers another exciting opportunity to get closer to spotting the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger in its natural environment. In the evening, enjoy a cultural dance performance by the local Tharu people at the hotel premises. Dinner and a sharing of wildlife experiences before bedtime. Overnight stay at the hotel/resort.

Day 04: Bardia - Nepalgunj Airport - Kathmandu
After breakfast, transfer to Nepalgunj Airport for your flight back to Kathmandu.
