Gosainkunda Lake is a holy lake located in High Mountain Langtang Region. This can be categorized as a short, easy and scenic trek.
It is a remote and high mountain trek in the Langtang region. Following the Trishuli River north out of Kathmandu, we travel through Trishuli Bazaar to Dhunche, a Sherpa village located at the edge of the Langtang National Park. We follow a rugged trail with dramatic views; to the west of Himal Chuli (7893m), Manaslu (8156mm) and Ganesh Himal (7406m). On a clear day, even the Annapurna range can be seen rising up behind and to the north across the valley.
We pass a few huts in the high pastures of Lauribina cross a small ridge and have our first view of the holy lake Gosainkunda. We pass through Oak and Rhododendron forests and trek down to Ghopte after crossing Lauribina La pass. And our trek ends in Sundarijal.
Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival (1400m): Meet us at the airport, transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu - Dhunche (1960m, 6 hours).
Day 03: Trek to Thulo Syabru Village (2200m, 5/6 hours)
Day 04: Sybru Village to Sing Gompa (3210m)
Day 05: Sing Gompa to Gosaikunda (4380m)
Day 06: Gosaikunda to Gopte (3440m)
Day 07: Ghopte to Kutumsang (2621m)
Day 08: Kutumsang to Chisapani (2194m)
Day 09: Chisapani to Kathmandu via Sundarijal.
Day 10: Departure
Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival
Meet us at the airport, you are welcomed by the hospitable meeting and then you will be transferred to your hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu - Dhunche (1960m, 6 hours).
Scenic drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche through Nepalese country sides villages, rivers with an amazing view of Himalayan peaks like Lantang and Ganesh Himal.
Day 03: Trek to Thulo Syabru Village (2200m, 5/6 hours)
Trek to Thulo Syabru, the biggest ethnic Tamang village in this area. We can see the stone topped local houses with Buddhist holy flags, excellent views of Langtang Lirung and Tibetan mountain range.
Day 04: Sybru Village to Sing Gompa (3210m)
Passing Schools and Gompas the trail ascent through the forest of hemlock and oak until trail Dursagang (2660m). This trail gradually ascent through forest Sing Gompa. Sing Gompa is popular for Yak cheese factory and Buddhist monastery.
Day 05: Sing Gompa to Gosaikunda (4380m)
The trail climbs gradually up to Lauirbina Yak (3920m). From Lauirbinayak, you can see panoramic mountain views. Then continue trek up to a small temple with a statue of Sakyamuni and further climbing you can see good views of Saraswati Kunda and Bhairav Kunda and reach to holy lake Gosaikunda.
Day 06: Gosaikunda to Gopte (3440m)
The trail leads to the northern side of Gosaikunda Lake and passing three more small lakes; you will reach Laurebinayak pass (4610m). The trail descends to Phedi (3740m). We continue trek to Ghopte with following up and down trail.
Day 07: Ghopte to Kutumsang (2621m)
Trek from Ghopte to Kutmsang, through fir and rhododendron forest observing the beautiful mountain views of Mt. Dorje Lakpa range on its way to Kutumsang.
Day 08: Kutumsang to Chisapani (2194m)
The trek descends to the delightful hill village of Gul Bhanjyang. And we continue trek down to Pati Bhanjyang (1860m) through Thodang Betini and exploring a local typical village.
Day 09: Chisapani to Kathmandu via Sundarijal.
The route goes forward through the forest of oak and rhododendron, and brings you to Borlang Bhanjyang (2440m). Trek down to Mulkharka (1800m) where from you can see spectacular view of Kathmandu valley. From there, we drive back to Kathmandu.
Day 10: Departure
Free till departure, transfer to airport, fly back to Home.
