Nagarkot Sunrise Tour

Day 1: Kathmandu to Nagarkot

• Morning (7:00 - 8:00 AM):
  • Depart from Kathmandu in the morning, typically around 7:00 AM. The drive to Nagarkot takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions.
  • On the way, enjoy scenic views of the countryside, terraced fields, and small villages. The journey itself offers a beautiful glimpse into rural Nepal.
• Arrival in Nagarkot:
  • Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Some hotels have terraces that offer panoramic views of the mountains.

Late Afternoon (Optional):

• Explore Nagarkot Village:
  • After checking in, take a short hike around the village or simply relax at your hotel, enjoying the serene environment and mountain views.
  • Visit nearby temples or enjoy a peaceful walk through the hills.
  • If you’re interested, you can also take a small walk to a viewpoint for a clear view of the Himalayas, especially on clear days.
• Sunset View:
  • In the evening, you can head to a viewpoint to catch a stunning sunset over the valley and mountains, with soft golden light spreading over the terrain.

Day 2: Sunrise and return to Kathmandu

• Early Morning (5:00 - 6:00 AM):
  • Wake up early to catch the famous sunrise at Nagarkot. It’s best to head to a vantage point (such as the Nagarkot View Tower) by 5:30 AM to enjoy the full experience.
  • Watch the sunrise as the first rays of light hit the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas, with panoramic views of mountains like Mount Everest, Langtang, Manaslu, and Ganesh Himal visible on clear mornings.
• Breakfast with a View:
  • After sunrise, enjoy a hearty breakfast at your hotel while taking in the breathtaking scenery.
• Return to Kathmandu:
  • After breakfast, you can begin your drive back to Kathmandu. You should arrive back by late morning or early afternoon, depending on your pace and stops along the way.
